CPE Credits

Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Credits:

Attendees and presentors at the Texas Regional Infrastructure Security Conference (TRISC) qualify for CPE credits for many of the associated certifications. Below is a partial list of certifications that will accept attendance or presentation at TRISC as CPE credits.

ISC2 - Certifications: CISSP, SSCP, CAP, ISSAP, ISSMP, ISSEP

Attendees: TRISC is a "security conference" and earns 1 "Group A" CPE for every hour of attendance. A certificate of completion/attendance will be provided in the registration packet for each TRISC attendee. An agenda of the TRISC program will also be provided in this packet.

Presenters: You may earn 4 CPE "Group A" credits for every hour of presentation. This may only be claimed for the initial preparation of the lecture. No CPEs are granted for the time spent presenting the material. The TRISC committee will provide a signed title slide for the presentation. The presenter is responsible for ensuring that the presenter's name, presentation title, date, length of presentation, and TRISC logo are on the title slide.

Volunteers: TRISC volunteers will receive 1 "Group B" CPE credit for each hour of volunteer work they provide to the TRISC staff during the conference. The TRISC committee will supply a signed confirmation of the hours worked on TRISC letterhead at the conclusion of the conference.

ISACA - Certifications: CISA, CISM, CGEIT

Attendees: TRISC is a "non-ISACA" conference and earns 1 CPE for every hour of "active participation". A certificate of completion/attendance will be provided in the registration packet for each TRISC attendee. An agenda of the TRISC program will also be provided in this packet. Please keep these for your CPE records.

Presenters: You may earn 5 times the presentation time for the first delivery of the material (or the 1 times the presentation time if this is the second time the material has been presented. The TRISC committee will provide a signed title slide for the presentation. The presenter is responsible for ensuring that the presenter's name, presentation title, date, length of presentation, and TRISC logo are on the title slide.

ASIS International - Certifications: PCI, CPP, PSP

Attendees: TRISC is a conference and earns 1 CPE for every available 50 minute classroom seminar you could reasonably attend. TRISC offers 15 such 50 minute seminar opportunities (Monday, April 21: 6; Tuesday, April 22: 6; Wednesday, April 23: 3). A certificate of completion/attendance will be provided in the registration packet for each TRISC attendee. An agenda of the TRISC program will also be provided in this packet. Please keep these for your CPE records.

Presenters: You may earn 3 CPE credits per participant hour as a speaker at TRISC. The TRISC committee will provide a signed title slide for the presentation. The presenter is responsible for ensuring that the presenter's name, presentation title, date, length of presentation, and TRISC logo are on the title slide. This document will serve as the letter of acknowledgement of services.

Volunteers [CPP Certification Only]: TRISC committee members only may receive 9 CPE credits for TRISC 2008. One of the TRISC Co-Chairs will supply a signed confirmation of your participation on the TRISC committee on TRISC letterhead at the conclusion of the conference.
